American Giant is a San Francisco-based manufacturing company that makes American
made clothing and sells direct to its customers exclusively through
its website

"American Giant" was founded in February 2011 by Bayard Winthrop. Winthrop started the company
to address what he saw as a lack of affordably priced high-quality American
Made products in the market. He believed that by changing the economics of distribution and
marketing, a business could re-deploy those savings into product made in
America sold at mainstream prices. The company was named one of the 50 Most
Innovative Companies by Fast Company in 2015 and cited for “breathing new life
into U.S. US Manufacturing” Winthrop’s philosophy on the future of retail inspired him to
co-author with Randy Komisar, I F*cking Love That Company, a book about the
post-Amazon world of direct to consumer retail. The apparel industry faces overwhelming
competition from abroad.
Some cheaper and faster. Some state of the art. If manufacturing is
going to survive here, we have to be smarter. Work harder. Create a
better product. We’ve assembled a supply chain of people and
materials built to do just that.

2. 2. Flynn skye
"FlynnSkye" is made for the girl who is not afraid to take risks and lives with no
limits. The girl who wakes up in the morning and doesn’t think twice about that
dress she’s throwing on to grab coffee or what she’ll be wearing to lead that
business meeting later. Simply put Flynn Skye is made by powerful women for
powerful women.
Designer
Amber Farr derived the brand from her free spirited, magical daughter Flynn,
who lives life with little fear and a huge smile on her face.
“She
walks to her own beat and whistles to her own tune,” Amber says. Much like
our customers.
Amber
works hard to create pieces that make anyone feel good. A little sexy, a little
edgy, and a lot of beach meets the city. Flynn Skye is designed in Venice and
made in downtown Los Angeles. We truly care as much about the people who make
the garments as the people who buy it. It is our goal to leave a positive
influence in the fashion community.

environmental protection rules imposed on the industry for dyeing. By dyeing
and finishing all of our garments in California, you are assured our processing

The word Supima comes from
Pima (derived from the
indigenous American tribe) and superior. Less than one
percent of the cottom
annually produced in the world qualifies as Supima. It’s exclusively grown in
the
southwestern United States.
The extra-long fiber length makes Supima incredibly soft. The long, dense
fibers of Supima absorb and retain dye better than most other cotton ensuring
vibrant, long lasting color. Super-durable and stronger than traditional
cotton, Supima is less likely to pill or shrink.

5. Baldwin Denim & Collection
5. Baldwin Denim & Collection
BALDWIN was created in 2009 by designer Matt
Baldwin. While Matt and his wife Emily ran their successful Kansas City
boutique, Standard Style, customers asked for the perfect, American-made
premium denim. At the time, the denim market had reached peak exposure with
fast cycling trends; all the American-born heritage of the legendary workwear
was lost. People longed for a denim line that was sophisticated with modern
fits, but embodied all the authenticity and honesty of classic American style.
Drawing upon the culture and roots of his hometown, Kansas City, Matt Baldwin
set out to create inspired denim and apparel that maintains its history and
casual American foundation using impeccable craftsmanship and design.
6 . Buck
Mason
Buck Mason was founded in 2013 by Sasha Koehn and Erik
Allen, who were neighbors in Venice, California.
Initially,
they set up shop in a 350 square foot garage off Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Sasha
built the website and Erik created the brand’s first collection of jeans and
tees. Obsessed with quality, they worked closely with a local family factory to
create small batch production runs, crafting each piece using old school
manufacturing techniques combined with modern technology.
Mason makes fashion less complicated, building each piece to last beyond a single season. Each design is a riff on an iconic American staple, combining to make a useful and effortless wardrobe. Consistency in fit, fabric and quality guide this hands on approach. Much of the product is made in the USA, where you can often find Sasha and Erik on the factory floor
7. Genetic Los Angeles
Genetic Los Angeles is an
American denim brand that treats their jeans as works of art. They produce all
of their clothing in one state-of-the-art factory, where their talented
employees hand cut and treat each pair to perfection. We love Genetic’s wide
range of cuts, colors and washes—they even have denim skirts and jackets! They
offer a recycling program to reduce textile waste, where they accept used denim
(any brand, any condition) in exchange for $30 of Genetic store credit. The old
denim is refashioned into jeans and backpacks for homeless children in Los
Angeles.
